ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular registered nurse (RN) specializing in open heart and mixed ICU patients, available in an acute care setting on night shifts. This position involves working with telemetry, labor and delivery, emergency, and critical care units, providing high-level patient care within a 30-bed cardiac intensive care unit.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (preferred); required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Education requirements: Must hold a license to submit and be willing to wait for license verification.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience with fresh open-heart cases and mixed ICU patient care.
• Location: The healthcare provider is seeking qualified candidates to work in their ICU setting.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with approximately 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include providing specialized care for post-operative cardiac patients and managing complex ICU cases, with a focus on dysrhythmia management, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Candidate must have recent experience in a cardiac ICU environment, including handling fresh open-heart cases.
• Clinical orientation involves a one-day unit-specific training.
• The unit does not require a hospitalist or intensivist in-house, but RT (Respiratory Therapy) support is available 24/7.
• The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts cancelled per 13-week assignment.
• Telemetry, GE monitors, and ventilators are used in patient care.
