Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized patient care for a diverse caseload of surgical and medical patients within the healthcare providers medical-surgical telemetry unit. The position requires float flexibility across all medical-surgical telemetry units as needed, with a focus on ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to high standards of patient safety.

Job Details

• Position Description: BILH coverage sheet required at time of submission. The role involves work on the 2 East Unit with a 12-hour day shift schedule, every other weekend. Epic electronic medical record system experience is required. Nurses must be able to read and interpret their own strips and pass ECG/telemetry and medication testing during onboarding via Zoom.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Minimum of 2+ years recent acute Medical Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience. CPR and ACLS certifications required. Epic experience required. Must be separated from the healthcare provider for at least 6 months and in good standing.
• Schedule: 12-hour shift days, 36 hours per week minimum.
• Additional Information: Nurses must pass ECG/telemetry and medication tests during onboarding, with a score of 85% required on the first attempt. The unit cares for a variety of surgical and overflow medical patients, with no tele techs on this unit; all RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips. Medical exemptions are the only acceptable reason for flu vaccination exemption, and other detailed onboarding requirements are in place.
