Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves supporting a diverse range of surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, neuro, gynecology/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The position requires experienced OR nurses to provide high-quality patient care during evening shifts for a temporary assignment.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, CNOR
• Skills required: Experience with general operating room procedures, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band, laparoscopic assisted cases, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid procedures, endovascular aneurysm repair, vein stripping, resection surgeries, thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, sinus procedures, ENT surgeries, gynecological surgeries, hernia repairs, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedure, hysterectomy, colporrhaphy, tubal ligation, dilation & curettage, phlebotomy, and IV placement.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Experience in ortho-total joint, trauma, neuro, gynecology/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries is preferred.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS Certification, 3 years of operating room experience, NY license required in hand for submission.
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement. Candidates must have EPIC charting system experience. Travelers will float; minimal RTO allowed.
• Submission Requirements: NY license in hand, minimum of 1 year experience, must be located more than 75 miles from the facility, and related system and module experience.
