Description

Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician specializing in operating room services. This role supports surgical procedures across orthopedic, spine, trauma, urology, gynecology, uro-gynecology, vascular, general, neurological spine, and select Ear, Nose, and Throat cases. The position requires robotic surgical system experience, a 1:1 patient ratio, block scheduling, and participation in on-call coverage.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of operating room experience; NBSTSA certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; community hospital experience; proficiency in orthopedic, spine, trauma, urology, gynecology, uro-gynecology, vascular, general, and neurological spine procedures; robotic surgical system experience; experience with surgical procedures including total joint replacements, spinal fusion, laparoscopic cases, vascular procedures, robotic surgery, and trauma cases.
Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week; block scheduling required; on-call coverage averages one weekday per week and one weekend every six-week schedule; weekend coverage is on-call only.
Additional Information: The role supports approximately 30 surgical cases per day across nine operating rooms and may provide emergency coverage for the obstetrics operating room with support. Patient populations include adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Three of five designated holidays may be required.
