Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the healthcare provider setting. This position involves providing specialized emergency care within a busy ER/ED environment, managing a high volume of patients with acuity requiring acute interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires ED experience, current certifications, and proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS. TNCC preferred.
• Education Requirements: Valid NY Licensed RN license, minimum of 2 years of ER experience, current with ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and EPIC experience.
• Location Requirements: NY licensed RN.
• Experience Minimum: 2 years in emergency nursing.
• Schedule: 12-hour nights shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 12 PM to 12 AM.
• Additional responsibilities include managing patient triage and holding areas, performing ABGs, EKGs, and assisting with ventilation management.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records and pediatrics is required.
• Unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8-10, handling approximately 145-150 patients daily.
• Triage involves a separate area, and travelers may perform triage if experienced.
• The ER features 44 beds, including 3 trauma bays and 12 psych beds, with a trauma level of III and stroke level of III.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high patient volumes and demonstrate competence in strip reading and equipment troubleshooting.
• No floating requirement.
• Scrubs required in Navy Blue.
• Additional clinical orientation includes a 2-day unit-specific training.
• The position is traveler-friendly with available parking options.
