Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) NurseLocation: unspecified. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to emergency patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a clinician skilled in patient assessment, emergency procedures, and telemetry, with a focus on delivering compassionate, efficient care.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required, bachelor degree preferred. Current Compact or CO Registered Nurse (RN) License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or Neonatal Resuscitation Program for Fetal Blood Cells) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Successful completion of EKG course. Minimum of 1 year ER / Inpatient experience preferred for ER. TNCC Course Completion within 12 months of hire required for ER.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The RN will administer nursing care within the scope of practice, assist physicians, make patient rounds, implement and revise patient plans of care, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards. The role involves collaboration with healthcare team members, maintaining professional knowledge, and participating in educational and departmental activities.
• Responsibilities include: supervising non-professional staff, performing clinical assessments including arrhythmia interpretation, assisting with procedures, documenting care accurately, and responding promptly to patient needs.
• Work Environment: Potential exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental factors such as heat, cold, and noise. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to perform full-range movements.
