Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse needed in Danville, VA. This position involves working in a busy surgical department with rotating shifts, including two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts. The role requires providing high-quality perioperative care to patients of all ages in a 250-bed academic community hospital.

Job Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room
Location: Danville, VA
Shift: Rotating shifts two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts
Schedule: Weekly guaranteed hours: 36; work scheduled for days with every other weekend as needed; call rotations primarily involving weekends and potentially overnight during the week.
Required Qualifications: Certification / Licensed as RN; ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH certifications; 1-2 years of OR experience; Located in or willing to travel from at least 60 miles to the facility.
Preferred Qualifications: Orthopedic surgical experience; motivated, proactive, professional personality; easy-going nature.
Additional Information: May be asked to float within scope of practice; unit has a patient ratio of 1:1; EHR used is Meditech; unit serves all age groups; must have current ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH certifications prior to start.
