Job Summary
Operating Room Technician (ORT) Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician Concord, NC. This position involves providing surgical support in a high-volume, specialized environment within a Level 3 Trauma Stroke Center of Excellence and Bariatric Center of Excellence. The role requires extensive experience, particularly with neuro cases and advanced robotic and navigation systems.

Job Details

Location: Concord, NC
Position Description: Provide surgical assistance in a busy Operating Room department specializing in trauma, orthopedics, spine, cardiac, gynecology, robotics, and other surgical specialties. The role will support complex procedures such as ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, and posterior/anterior cases.
Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician; minimum of 5 years of experience in a surgical environment; experience with trauma, spine, robotics, navigation, and neuro cases; BLS certification; current license or certification as required; ability to scrub in relevant cases.
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotation every 6 weeks. The schedule may include call shifts (average of 6 per 6-week cycle) with a 45-minute response time, work on every 4th weekend, holidays (75%), and possible RTO with manager approval. Additional shifts may vary, including 7a-7p, 9a-9p, or 11a-11p, depending on departmental needs.
Additional Information: The department utilizes EPIC electronic medical records and various specialized surgical tools. Orientation includes 2 days departmental training and facility onboarding. Candidate must have recent, comprehensive neuro experience and familiarity with specific surgical cases and equipment.
