Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit travel position on the night shift. The role supports adults with high-acuity neurological, cardiovascular, trauma, stroke, surgical, and critical care needs in a fast-paced acute care setting. The position includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and rotation through intensive care and progressive care overflow assignments.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; current LA City Fire Card; required travel experience; community hospital experience; Level II trauma experience; ability to care for a 2:1 patient ratio.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience and electronic charting system experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Provides care for adults with neurological, cardiovascular, multisystem trauma, stroke, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, surgical, sepsis, and orthopedic conditions. Clinical responsibilities may include ventilator management, airway and line management, blood product administration, continuous intravenous sedation, vasoactive medication titration, renal failure care, arterial line management, chest tube care, external ventricular drain management, intracranial pressure monitoring, post-cardiac surgery care, post-craniotomy care, post-neurosurgical care, cardiac catheterization support, and management of traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. The role includes collaboration with respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary support services.
