Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) RN Location: Michigan. This role involves providing direct patient care within a high-acuity Emergency Department environment. The RN will perform triage, assessment, and intervention, acting independently in life-threatening situations and supporting the care team with procedures and patient management.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN functions primarily in direct patient care, demonstrating competent clinical practice. Responsibilities include triaging patients, obtaining patient history and vital signs, assessing patients, and initiating immediate care in life-threatening situations. The RN provides care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients, utilizing complex and simple nursing skills, and assists physicians with procedures. It also involves offering physical and psychological comfort, giving discharge and follow-up instructions, responding to ambulance radios, and managing sophisticated equipment in a stressful environment.
• Required Qualifications: Active Michigan/MI license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification, 2+ years of ER experience preferred, travel experience highly preferred, NRP preferred, and a minimum of 1-year current skills checklist pertinent to ER.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 2 years of ER experience, be able to provide two supervisory reference forms from the past two years, and meet all state licensure and certification requirements to be considered. Submission of current skills checklist and relevant certifications is required.
