• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) minimum 2 years of experience preferred; active IL license or confirmation of application process required
• Experience or skills: At least 2 years of nursing experience preferred, previous travel experience is a plus
• Department: Med Surg
• Bed count: 2 South: 18 beds; 3 South: 22 beds
• Patient ratios: Days 1:5, Nights 1:5-6
• Common patient diagnoses: Medical acute conditions including pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, COPD, urologic, surgical, total joints, general surgery, and occasional pediatric respiratory illnesses
• Duties include collaboration with patient care techs on care plans, performing foley care, CHG bathing, oral cares, and troubleshooting Bi-pap and high-flow equipment.
• Telemetry: RNs required to monitor telemetry strips and read their own strips; monitors provided.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including potential float to ICU for overflow or to another campus up to 25 miles away, with notification at least 2 hours prior to shift.
• Scrubs: Solid color scrubs, no prints, provided.
• Charting system: EPIC
• Additional information: Must submit active license, last four digits of SSN, and confirmation of application process.
