Job Summary
Pediatric Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Location: unspecified. This role involves providing psychiatric nursing care for pediatric patients aged 5 to 18 with diverse psychiatric conditions, including psychosis, major depression, suicidality, attention-deficit disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, catatonia, and autism. The position requires working in inpatient and emergency settings with a focus on acute psychiatric care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Pediatric Psychiatric Nursing in a hospital setting, covering Child and Adolescent Psychiatry units, with responsibilities including inpatient care and psychiatric evaluation in the Pediatric Emergency Room.
- Certifications and Education: BLS; required: two years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience and nursing experience; Child Psychiatry experience.
- Schedule: Shift times are days; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Requirements: Experience with level 3 autism is a plus; prior travel experience, EPIC, PALS, and working on both inpatient and psychiatric emergency units are preferred.
- Float: Working on both inpatient (12S) and the psychiatric pod in the Pediatric Emergency Department, with float as needed to area of like skill set.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have prior employment experience within any Johns Hopkins facilities and meet the minimum experience criteria. Verify prior employment before submission.
