Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse (Specialty) Location: Not Specified. This role involves leading compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on a 22 Bed Telemetry Unit. The position requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, monitoring patient conditions, and advocating for patient safety and smooth discharge processes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date; Advanced Life Support (preferred); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred). Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Unit Description: 22 Bed Telemetry Unit.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: License verification via Nursys; Ascension profile; Ascension 2 professional references; Ascension skills checklist.
- Additional Information: The role entails leading clinical care, collaboration, real-time patient monitoring, and discharge planning, all within a high-standard patient safety and quality environment.
