Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the organizations surgical department. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams, circulatory duties, and scrubbing in various specialties including orthopedics, plastics, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Minimum of 3 years of OR experience with strong orthopedics and scrubbing expertise required. Experience in Circulating and Scrubbing in Orthopedics (Joints, Trauma, Foot and Ankle, Hand and Wrist), Plastics, Dilation & Curettage (D&C), Gynecology, ENT, and other surgical procedures.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed. Must be able to manage airway, maintain aseptic technique, and perform in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Responsibilities: Circulating and scrubbing in diverse surgical procedures, including orthopedic joint repairs, trauma, plastics, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, and general surgery. Prioritization of patient safety and sterile protocols essential.
