L&D (Labor and Delivery) Specialty Nurse in Ohio This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, managing pain, and developing individualized care plans, ensuring age-appropriate and culturally sensitive patient care.

Job Details

• Location Requirements: Ohio
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) active and through AHA required
• Education Requirements: BSN degree preferred, active Ohio or compact license required
• Experience: 0 years minimum (1 year of labor and delivery experience required)
• Additional Information: Demonstrates ability to perform head-to-toe assessments, reassess pain using appropriate methods, and educate patients and families on pain management. Performs medication administration following the five medication rights, formulates and revises care plans, and documents according to current standards. Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Manages equipment safely, coordinates patient care, and maintains competency annually.
