Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse positions are available in a healthcare provider's facility. These roles involve providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, primarily those over the age of 65, with a focus on trauma, falls, fractures, and motor vehicle accidents. The positions require proficiency in managing acute medications, trauma care, and geriatric patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse
- Location: In a healthcare facility's medical-surgical unit
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 11/16/2026 and ending 02/13/2027
- Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Documented experience in medical and telemetry nursing, with knowledge of hospital-acquired delirium prevention, early mobility, HAPI (Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injury) prevention, and falls prevention
- Additional Job Responsibilities: Managing trauma patients, administering medications including heparin drips and acute medications, and communicating effectively with family members. Experience with specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records system (EPIC or equivalent) is required.
