This position involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients on a Medical Surgical unit specializing in orthopedic and neuro cases. The role requires delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing EPIC electronic health record systems, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekends scheduled every other week. Holiday shifts may be required based on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification (AHA); minimum of 2 years' experience working with orthopedic patients; current nursing license; EPIC experience; valid driver's license; certified in CPR.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PCA pumps; familiarity with neuro surgeries such as back & neck procedures; ability to handle elective surgeries including hips, knees, shoulders, fractures, and neuro-surgeries.
• Additional Information: Unit notes specify a patient ratio of 1 to 6 with all private rooms and a focus on elective orthopedic and neurological surgeries. Epic orientation is required, including one day on orientation and one day on the floor with a preceptor, followed by independent practice. Float: Float rotation may be required.
