Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT) supports surgical procedures by maintaining aseptic technique, preparing operating rooms and sterile supplies, and scrubbing and passing instruments during assigned cases. The role includes equipment and instrumentation setup, case breakdown, and preparation for upcoming surgical schedules.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technician; minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique in the operating room, setting up equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed; breaking down cases after procedures; preparing the operating room and supplies for the following days schedule; and participating in assigned call coverage as required by operational needs.
