Operating Room (OR) Nurse, located in Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing perioperative patient care within a 10-operating-room surgical department at a busy healthcare facility. The role requires supporting diverse surgical procedures, including trauma cases, with a focus on patient safety and team collaboration.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be from the American Heart Association). Education: RN degree. Location: Farmington, NM. Experience: 0 years minimum.
- Schedule: Shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday through Monday, with variable call, totaling 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include supporting patients and surgeons during traumatic injuries, performing a variety of procedures from basic laparoscopy to complex abdominal or chest trauma cases, with an emphasis on competence and confidence.
- Must be comfortable supporting patients and surgeons with/for significant traumatic injuriesable to anticipate needs regarding instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Additional notes: The role involves working in a diverse patient population across all ages, supporting varied OR specializations, and using Cerner electronic health record system.
