Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Michigan City, Indiana. The position provides perioperative nursing care in an Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit environment. Responsibilities include supporting a collaborative surgical team, adapting to changing schedules, and caring for patients across multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in operating room nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
• Additional Information: Supports urology, orthopedic, gynecologic, vascular, general, ear, nose, and throat, and spine procedures. Requires proficiency with operating room equipment, participation in capital equipment purchases and usage, and reporting on key performance indicators and quality improvement initiatives. The role requires the ability to multitask, adapt quickly to continuous changes in the daily schedule, and collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia partners, operating room staff, and other departments.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
