Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. This flexible nursing position supports medical and surgical units during 12-hour day shifts. The role requires clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, current required certifications, and the ability to float between designated units based on operational needs.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with 36 scheduled hours per week following the first week of orientation.
Required Qualifications: Active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment; 210 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); professional nursing attire with clean scrubs.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), procedural sedation experience, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC).
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The role floats between medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units. Responsibilities may include caring for patients with varied medical and surgical needs and using wound vacs, chest tubes, and medication-dispensing systems. Patient assignments may vary by unit and operational need. Unit-specific orientation is provided. Arrival is required on the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
