Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT). This position assists with preparation for and participation in surgical procedures by performing routine and delegated duties in accordance with departmental standards and policies to support quality patient care. The role includes varied 10-hour shifts, weekend rotation, and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) licensure through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) credential, or equivalent; five years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, and cardiac procedures.
• Schedule: Nights; 10-hour shifts; 40 hours per week; variable start times; weekends included in the rotation.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting with surgical preparation and procedures while following applicable standards and department policies. The operating room environment supports cardiac, ophthalmology, robotic, orthopedic spine, neurosurgery, gynecology, general surgery, pediatric, ear, nose, and throat, oral, transplant, and vascular procedures. On-call participation is required.
