Job Summary

Telemetry position supporting acute care patients in a hospital-based setting. The role provides nursing care for medical-surgical patients, including management of heparin infusions and monitoring of patients requiring continuous cardiac observation. The position follows a day-shift schedule with weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA); minimum of 2 years of experience; nursing license required for submission.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Patient assignments follow a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Responsibilities include titrating heparin infusions, troubleshooting continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and high-flow equipment, and caring for medical-surgical patients. Weekend requirements include 4 weekends within a 6-week schedule, with 1 major and 1 minor holiday required. Floating may occur according to unit needs, with the position designated as first to float. Navy scrubs are required, and unit-specific orientation consists of 1 to 2 shifts.
