Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit (PCU) MilwaukeeWest Allis. The position provides direct patient care, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, and supports safe, high-quality outcomes in a rehabilitation setting. The Registered Nurse also supervises ancillary nursing personnel and contributes to interdisciplinary care, patient education, and discharge planning.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift for applicable assignments.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of bedside clinical experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include completing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized plans of care, documenting assessments and interventions, participating in rehabilitation programming, initiating discharge planning, educating patients and families, communicating changes in patient status, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team. The Registered Nurse provides direction, training, and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees; delegates appropriately; promotes patient and employee safety; and may assume charge responsibilities following orientation.
