Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Wound Ostomy Care. This specialty nursing position provides assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds and ostomies in an inpatient, acute care setting. The role includes wound care, ostomy care, dressing changes, wound vacuum therapy, wound classification, and patient teaching.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing certification; Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse certification; current wound care and ostomy nursing experience; at least 2 years of experience; experience with surgical and traumatic wounds; ostomy care experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: One to two prior travel assignments.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM3:30 PM, 8-hour days, 40 hours per week; no weekends, call, or holidays.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing, measuring, and classifying complex wounds and related skin conditions; performing various dressing changes and wound vacuum dressing changes; providing wound and ostomy treatment; managing ostomies; and educating patients in an inpatient, acute care setting.
