Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position provides emergency care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The role includes assessment and treatment of conditions such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory emergencies in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 07:3020:00, totaling 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled.
• Assignment: 13-week assignment from 11/09/2026 through 02/08/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active MD or Compact Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; at least 3 years of experience; emergency department travel experience required, with consideration for first-time travelers who have at least 5 years of nursing experience; experience caring for approximately four patients per nurse; required Epic charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; community hospital experience; long-term acute care hospital experience; Trauma Level I experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Patient assignments may include up to five lower-acuity patients. The patient population includes all age groups, with an average daily census of 140 and 46 beds. Clinical presentations include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest. Specialized equipment includes trauma blood-warming equipment, a neonatal warmer, a rapid infuser, and a mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation device.
