Job Summary

Medical Surgical Vascular Floor specialty position supporting an acute care float pool. The role provides care for patients with conditions including end-stage renal disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and alcohol-related disorders. The position requires the ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and float to telemetry assignments.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered nurse certification requirements include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); active license required for submission; minimum of 2 years of experience required; ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Basic arrhythmia course certification preferred.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Assignment is within a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry float pool. The role may include care for patients requiring bilevel positive airway pressure and continuous positive airway pressure. The highest level of care includes telemetry assignments, and orientation includes a dedicated telemetry orientation. Registered nurses wear blue scrubs.
