Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position provides comprehensive emergency nursing care, including patient assessment, clinical intervention, documentation, education, and coordination of care for patients across the lifespan. The role supports perioperative and pre-admission testing activities while maintaining patient safety, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Registered Nurse license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; at least 1 year of experience in critical care, cardiac care, or an Emergency Department required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., consisting of 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Must be available to work some upcoming holidays.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing systematic and comprehensive patient assessments; delivering appropriate nursing care across pediatric through geriatric populations; using emergency equipment and procedures; maintaining accurate documentation; supporting patient and family education; following patient safety goals, universal protocols, safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics; providing pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education; evaluating Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders; and supporting timely completion of patient testing. Pediatric emergency room assignments require Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
