Job Summary

Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical Floor Wausau, Wisconsin. This position provides post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. The role requires strong prioritization, multitasking, teamwork, and the ability to manage patient care needs based on acuity.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; associate degree or certificate; at least 2 years of medical-surgical experience; recent hospital experience; Level II trauma experience; prior travel experience; and required electronic medical record charting experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree.
• Additional Information: Provides post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit is fast-paced, with approximately 1015 admissions per day and patient assignments typically ranging from four to five patients during day and evening shifts. The position requires the ability to recover and monitor patients following surgery, prioritize care based on acuity, multitask effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team. Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/13/2027.
