Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides patient care in a medical-surgical setting on the night shift. The role requires clinical proficiency with intravenous starts, Foley catheter insertion, nasogastric tube insertion, electrocardiograms, and heparin drips.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; weekend coverage as needed. No call requirements.
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse certification; required certifications include National Institutes of Health (NIH), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 1 year of experience, including at least 1 completed travel assignment; proficiency with intravenous starts, Foley catheter insertion, nasogastric tube insertion, electrocardiograms, and heparin drips.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio in a high-turnover environment.
Additional Information: The position supports a 48-bed unit and involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Patient assignments may include a 1:6 ratio and management of common medical-surgical diagnoses and treatments.
