Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Pulaski, TN. This night-shift travel nursing position supports an inpatient detoxification unit, with consideration given to candidates with emergency room experience. The role serves adult through geriatric patients and requires availability to start 710 days after offer acceptance.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week; every other weekend and as needed. No call required.
• Required Qualifications: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher; active registered nurse licensure and required certifications to practice in Tennessee; Basic Life Support (BLS), ALS, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required before start. Patient care experience across age groups, bedside shift reporting, and intravenous (IV) access skills are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Detoxification or emergency room experience; experience with Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) and Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS); experience assisting with bedside procedures such as peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) and midlines; five or more years of nursing experience preferred, with three or more years acceptable.
• Additional Information: The position supports patients with substance use and behavioral health conditions, including withdrawal, seizures, liver disease, cognitive changes, hypertension, syncope, and elevated fall risk. Patient assignments may include approximately 1 nurse to 7 patients. Responsibilities include bedside shift reporting, unit checks, required audits and processes, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team. Solid-color scrubs are required, along with adherence to safety and professional attire standards. Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays.
