Job Summary

Surgical Technician, Operating Room Tech Templeton. The role assists the surgical team with operating room preparation, sterile field maintenance, instrumentation, supplies, and intraoperative support. Responsibilities include supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic technique and organized equipment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Start times may be 6:30 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.; scheduled days may vary. On-call rotation may include one night per week and one weekend per month.
• Required Qualifications: High school education, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent preferred; associate or technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred; six months of operating room experience or completion of a Surgical Technician course required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Surgery Technician certification.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing surgical cases, verifying supplies and equipment, assembling operative materials, setting up and maintaining sterile fields, supporting instrument and supply retrieval, cleaning equipment, transporting patients, completing clerical duties, labeling solutions, and performing instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with a Registered Nurse (RN). The role also includes maintaining aseptic technique and performing other related duties as assigned.
