Job Summary
Emergency Room specialty in Washington. The position supports an acute care emergency department serving patients of all ages with varied diagnoses. Responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care, supporting fast-track services, and participating in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Schedule: Night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday coverage required unless time off is approved.
- Additional Information:
- Acute care emergency department with fast-track services and 27 beds or trauma bays.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1.
- Patient volume is approximately 84118 patients per day.
- Patient population includes all ages and varied diagnoses.
- Registered nurses should be able to perform laboratory draws, with laboratory staff available as backup.
- Emergency department nurses support intravenous therapy.
- Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned based on experience.
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available 24/7.
- Electronic medical record charting is used.
- Floor-specific orientation is provided.
- Any scrub color is permitted.
