Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor position supporting adult and geriatric patients in an acute care setting. The role involves medical-surgical nursing responsibilities, clinical assessment, medication and treatment administration, intravenous care, phlebotomy, and management of complex patient needs. The assignment includes day shifts and alternating weekend coverage.

Job Details

Assignment Dates: 11/30/202603/01/2027
Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 1 year of experience; previous travel experience; compact license in hand at submission; experience with electronic charting systems; proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, medical-surgical care, nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and oxygen tanks, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy and venipuncture, and starting and maintaining intravenous lines.
Additional Information: Care is provided to adult and geriatric patients, with a typical daily census of 12. Clinical responsibilities may include breast flap care, patient-controlled analgesia, blood administration, chest tubes, digital chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, and high-flow oxygen. Interdisciplinary support includes intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
