Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room. This position provides perioperative nursing care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across general, orthopedic, obstetric and gynecologic, gastrointestinal, colorectal, ear, nose and throat, and pain procedures. The role includes daytime shifts, rotating weekend call, and electronic charting using Epic.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Rotating and weekend call is required and may involve patient recovery responsibilities.
• Required Qualifications: Active State or Compact nursing license in hand at the time of submission; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; required experience with Epic charting.
• Clinical Experience: Experience with general, orthopedic, obstetric and gynecologic, gastrointestinal, colorectal, ear, nose and throat, and pain procedures, including thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, spinal procedures, joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate.
• Additional Information: The unit supports five operating rooms and serves a daily census of approximately seven patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Start date is 11/16/2026, with an assignment end date of 02/15/2027.
