Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. The position provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a very high-volume emergency department with complex medical, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, and sepsis presentations. The role requires current emergency room experience in a department managing at least 200 daily patients.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of nursing experience; current Emergency Room experience within the past year; experience in an Emergency Room with at least 200 daily patients; travel nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), MAB, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; a compact nursing license in hand at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for high-acuity emergency patients, including those with cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, behavioral health conditions, trauma-related injuries, respiratory conditions, neurological emergencies, and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Schedule: Night shifts of 12 hours, 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage required every other weekend and additional weekends as unit needs require.
• Additional Information: The Emergency Room serves adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in a 60-bed department with approximately 275 daily visits. Patient care includes comprehensive cardiac services, STEMI and stroke care, behavioral health services, emergency medication administration, ventilator and airway management, intravenous therapy, procedural sedation, dysrhythmia management, triage, and care for complex medical and psychiatric emergencies. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
