Job Summary

Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit Morristown. The position provides comprehensive nursing care for patients across the lifespan, including pre-operative and post-operative assessment, education, documentation, and clinical support. The role supports perioperative care and requires collaboration across critical care and step-down units as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; graduation from an accredited school of nursing; at least 1 year of Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelors degree in nursing.
• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs systematic and comprehensive patient assessments; delivers appropriate nursing care across the pediatric-to-geriatric continuum; demonstrates competency with clinical skills, emergency equipment, and procedures; maintains complete and accurate documentation; supports patient education and satisfaction; follows patient safety goals, universal safety protocols, patient identification procedures, safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics; provides individualized care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia; completes pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education; evaluates Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and omissions; supports timely completion of patient testing; and contributes to perioperative care coordination. Weekend rotation and one winter and one summer holiday are required.
