Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care for patients, develops and implements individualized care plans, and supports safe, effective patient outcomes. The role also includes supervising ancillary nursing personnel, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and contributing to patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift where applicable; minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of Intensive Care Unit experience preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Complete nursing assessments within eight hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation, interdisciplinary conferences, patient education, and discharge planning.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to appropriate care providers to support continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Provide direction, training, supervision, and appropriate delegation to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Promote personal and environmental safety while maintaining a positive and efficient care environment.
  • Assume charge responsibilities following completion of the orientation period, as requested.
