Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. This position provides specialized nursing care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a STEMI receiving center. The role requires expertise in cardiac catheterization, emergency cardiac care, procedural sedation monitoring, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call coverage includes two weekend call periods from Friday evening through Monday morning during the 13-week contract. Weekend availability and work on three of five major holidays are required.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of cardiac catheterization laboratory nursing experience; travel nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience; Epic charting experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience caring for adult patients with acute coronary syndrome, STEMI, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart block, bradycardia, and tachycardia.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience and prior charge experience.
Additional Information: The cardiac catheterization laboratory includes three procedure rooms and supports electrophysiology and interventional cardiology services. Responsibilities may include diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, cardiac ablation, cardioversion, pacemaker procedures, intra-aortic balloon pump management, Impella insertion, sheath removal and monitoring, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, and STEMI response. The position may require floating to an affiliated facility based on operational needs.
