Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. This role provides care for patients in an acute setting, including individuals with brain injuries and acute respiratory failure. The position requires day shifts, clinical experience with acute respiratory failure patients, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and one major holiday are required.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months caring for patients with acute respiratory failure in a subacute or acute hospital setting
- Registered Nurse qualification
Additional Information:
- Provides care for patients with brain injuries and other acute medical conditions.
- Typical patient assignment ratio is 1 nurse to 7 patients.
- Nursing assistants are available at an approximate ratio of 1 to 10.
- Charge nurse assignments are provided as needed.
- No titration of intravenous drips is required.
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling are not available.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.
- Unit-specific orientation is provided.
