Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Maine or compact licensure.
- Good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout the position.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- One year of current hospital nursing experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides efficient, professional, compassionate, and caring nursing services.
- Implements nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of orthopedic procedures, treatments, equipment, and oncology patient care.
- Coordinates, organizes, and prioritizes complex multiple-patient assignments.
- Administers medications safely and evaluates and documents their effectiveness.
- Directs paraprofessional activities related to patient care.
- Communicates effectively with patients, support persons, and members of the healthcare team.
- Participates in committees and initiatives supporting patient satisfaction, quality care, and improved patient outcomes.
- Complies with nursing policies, procedures, and the Maine Nurse Practice Act.
