Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Centennial, CO The registered nurse will provide emergency care in a collaborative, hospital-based emergency department serving patients with varying acuity. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, intravenous procedures, electrocardiograms, wound care, splinting, and other emergency department procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of current Emergency Department registered nurse experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be accepted in lieu of Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a large hospital setting.
- Prior experience with the electronic medical record system used in the department.
- Additional Information:
- Emergency department with 18 beds and typical patient ratios of approximately 4:1, depending on acuity.
- Clinical procedures include intravenous procedures, electrocardiograms, urinary catheter placement, splinting, wound infiltration, wound care, medication administration, and patient assessments.
- Available resources include respiratory therapy, clinical support across inpatient units, on-site laboratory services, and radiology services.
- Team-oriented environment with an emphasis on collaboration and positive workplace culture.
