Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor. The role provides independent nursing care and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards and state Board of Nursing requirements. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; providing health teaching and counseling; administering supportive and restorative therapies; and documenting care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Job Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.7:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certification appropriate for the unit or service.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
  • Provides health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or instruction of others.
  • Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
  • Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
  • Uses available resources and documents care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • May be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
