Description

Job Title: Psych RN - Inpatient Substance Abuse (13-week Contract)

Overview:
Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Psych RN to join an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility in Bayard, IA. This critical role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' recovery journeys while working within a supportive team environment. Pay Package:
Competitive pay rate of $50 per hour for a 13-week contract, with weekly direct deposit and comprehensive health benefits.

Required Skills:

  • Valid RN license for the state of Iowa
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent psychiatric or related experience
  • Proficiency in CIWA/COWS assessments and UAs
  • Ability to establish and maintain firm yet empathic boundaries
  • Competence in electronic medical records using HCS system
  • BLS certification

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in inpatient substance abuse or mental health settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and boundary management

Other Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid BLS certification
  • Ability to work 8-hour day shifts in scrubs
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal record check as mandated by state law
