Job Title:
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (13 Week Contract)

Overview:
Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic labor and delivery team in Elmira, NY, for an exciting 13-week contract. Pay Package:
Weekly gross pay of $2,448.00
$68 per hour
$102 per hour overtime rate
 

Required Skills:

• Valid New York RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in labor and delivery or maternal health
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs during labor and postpartum
• Ability to perform cervical checks and assess labor progression
• Skilled in evaluating contraction patterns and documenting labor stages
• Capable of responding to labor-related complications such as fetal distress or preeclampsia
• Experience assisting in vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Competence in maintaining sterile environments and neonatal resuscitation
• Strong collaboration skills with OB/GYNs, midwives, and healthcare teams

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Relevant clinical experience in labor and delivery within an acute care setting for at least 2 years.
• Prior experience performing neonatal resuscitation and managing obstetric emergencies.

Other Requirements:

• Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts 
• Must hold a current, valid RN license in New York State
• No additional travel or licensing requirements specified; local travel may be involved based on placement
