Description

Job Title: Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU RN)

Overview:
Join our team as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, a critical role dedicated to providing exceptional care to the most vulnerable neonatal patients. You will leverage your expertise in high-acuity neonatal care to support micro-preemies, surgical neonates, and complex medical cases. As a key member of our healthcare team, you’ll deliver personalized, evidence-based care within a collaborative environment committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes and fostering professional growth.

Pay Package: $29 per hour with weekly stipend of $1,100
Schedule: 6:45pm - 7:15am

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Level 3 surgical or Level 4 NICU settings.
  • Strong background in high-acuity neonatal care, including micro-preemies, surgical neonates, and complex medical cases.
  • Proficiency with ventilators (conventional and HFV), nitric, cooling, and central line care.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely and effectively.
  • Competent in neonatal resuscitation, critical drips, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Excellent organizational skills, good judgment, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrates effective delegation, team leadership, and resource management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Additional certification in clinical specialty areas.

Other Requirements:

  • Current Louisiana RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting and moving patients and equipment, in accordance with job demands.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
