Join our team as a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. This travel/contract position offers the opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts, three days per week, with 36 guaranteed hours. The role begins on August 10, 2026, and requires a minimum of one year of nursing experience. Responsibilities include managing a patient ratio of 5-7:1 on day/evening shifts and 6-10:1 on night shifts. Patients typically present with conditions such as colon cancer, intestinal obstructions, and cholecystitis. You’ll collaborate with Patient Care Technicians who assist with vital signs, EKGs, and daily activities. Required skills include phlebotomy, IV placement, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response team utilization, and peripheral line management. Proficiency in Epic EMR is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid BLS certification and be open to floating within the facility as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
