We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Utica, New York. This travel contract position offers a night shift schedule, working 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours. The position starts on August 31, 2026. The ICU consists of 42 beds divided into Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma units, and requires floating to various units as needed, except Behavioral Health and ER. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with preference for those with 4-5 years and experience in SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU. Heart experience and familiarity with CRRT and Prismaflex are highly preferred. The role involves caring for patients with critical conditions such as strokes, sepsis, neuro interventions, respiratory failure, cardiogenic shock, trauma, and major post-operative cases. The ideal candidate should possess current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, as well as expertise in operating specialized equipment like IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, and TTM systems.
