Join a dynamic healthcare team in Binghamton, NY, as a Certified Surgical Technologist. This 12-hour day shift position requires 36 guaranteed hours per week, ensuring stability and consistency. Your primary role will involve maintaining asepsis, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. Responsibilities include preparing surgical instruments, adhering to sterile techniques, assisting in surgical procedures, and organizing the operative field. You will also handle specimens, expedite OR turnover between cases, and participate in rotating on-call duties. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, expertise in infection control, and the ability to anticipate surgeons' needs. Certifications in BLS and CST (NBSTSA) are mandatory to excel in this role. Experience in operating room procedures is highly preferred.
