Pay: USD $2,223.96 weekly

Position Summary

The Interim RN House Supervisor provides after-hours clinical and operational leadership across acute care units. This role ensures safe staffing, patient flow, rapid response coordination, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards during night shift operations. The House Supervisor serves as the escalation point for clinical concerns, staffing issues, and patient care barriers, supporting interdisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate hospital-wide operations during night shift, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and bed management.
• Provide clinical oversight, coaching, and real-time problem solving for nursing and ancillary staff.
• Assess staffing needs, reallocate resources, approve call-ins per policy, and arrange coverage as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g., rapid responses, codes), facilitate timely interventions, and support debriefs.
• Collaborate with providers and department leaders on patient throughput, capacity constraints, and service recovery.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, documentation requirements, infection prevention practices, and HIPAA.
• Manage escalated patient/family concerns and assist with incident reporting and risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (or compact/multi-state privilege eligible to practice in Indiana).
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience; prior charge nurse or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) required; ACLS required (PALS preferred based on facility needs).
• Demonstrated knowledge of hospital operations, staffing principles, patient flow, and regulatory standards.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple demands, and remain calm in high-acuity situations.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and credentialing/health clearance (including immunizations) as required.
• Comfortable using electronic health records and standard hospital communication tools.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and assist with patient care activities as needed.
